Cherry Blossom Chiyogami - Plum

This exquisite patterned Chiyogami paper is traditionally hand silk-screened by artisans in Japan.  The technique was originally developed during the Edo Period (1603-1867) by papermakers inspired by the fashionable kimono textiles being produced in the Yuzen area of Kyoto.  Today, Chiyogami paper is used for, embellishing invitations, bound book covers and many other paper craft projects.
